Zookambi Summer Camp

Looking for a truly unique summer camp experience this year? The zoo has you covered with the wildest weeks of programming available in Michigan! Each day of camp includes a variety of hands-on experiences, animal presentations, and adventures to places in the zoo our typical visitors don’t get to see.

We have another great camp season planned and based on input from parents, kids, and teachers; we've made some changes in the scheduling and availability of classes. Specially designed weeklong programs are now available to students entering grades 1-12. Space is limited, so sign your kids up today!

Times

All of our programs run Monday through Friday. Zookambi kids can attend in the morning, afternoon, or all day! All sessions will have a snack provided.

Morning classes are 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Afternoon classes are 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM

Drop off times with no additional charge are 8:30am for morning sessions, and 12:30pm for afternoon sessions. Pick up must be done promptly at 12pm or 4pm. Extended care is available for your convenience (fee).If your child is enrolled in both morning and afternoon classes, lunchtime supervision by zoo staff is now included. All you have to do is pack a lunch for your kids!

Extended Care

Need a little extra time? No problem! We now have early drop off and late pick up available. For a small additional fee, campers can be dropped off as early as 7:30 AM and picked up as late as 6:00 PM.

If you would like to take advantage of this option, just type “Extended Care” under special requests and $25.00 will be added to your camp price.

Cancelation Policy

The Potter Park Zoological Society reserves the right to cancel a program. Every effort will be made to contact students if this occurs.

Credit will be issued to anyone canceling 14 days prior to the first day of class, less a $20.00 processing fee. If you cancel within 14 days, or if child misses week due to illness, you may apply your registration fees to another week or towards any of our many other zoo programs.
