Opened in Spring of 2009, Wings is a free-flight interactive aviary that is home to hundreds (more than 400!) of colorful birds. Each bird has been raised in captivity, so they are very comfortable and friendly with people. By purchasing a seed stick for $1, our guests can get even closer and feed the birds.
Rosella parrots acquired their name from early settlers who encountered these birds near Rose Hill, a Sydney suburb. Settlers originally called them “Rose Hillers!”
Known by many names such as: betcherrygah (meaning “good food”), shell parrot, warbling grass parakeet, canary parrot, and lovebird. They are commonly known as “budgies!”
