Magellanic penguins are named after Ferdinand Magellan who first discovered them in 1519.
To celebrate the 5th annual World Rhino Day, we're offering special tours and a behind-the-scenes look at our black rhino exhibit. Zookeepers will guide you into the exhibit holding area and show you the work that goes into the care and preservation of these amazing animals. You might even get a chance to meet one of these rare and endangered rhinos up close!
There will also be rhino informational tables and activities for the kids from 10:30a-4p.
Tickets will be available for either 1 p.m. or 3 p.m. and will be $10 for adults and $5 for kids 12 and under. Follow the links below to register. (NOTE: Tickets are limited and available on a first-come, first-serve basis; so grab your tickets while you can!)
