Did You Know?
The main threat to River Otters are water pollution and habitat destruction.
2011 was another fantastic year for Potter Park Zoo. After years of planning and construction, we brought back some of the history of our organization with a new pair of endangered Eastern Black Rhinos in a dramatically updated exhibit space. We said goodbye to some of our favorite animals, while we said hello to some exciting new births. Our education and conservation programs have never been in higher demand as they are today.
The hard work of our staff and volunteer base is helping to move the zoo forward each year and we have you - our visitors, members, friends, fans, and family to thank for that. Without your support, our work here wouldn't be possible. This truly is your zoo, and you should be proud of what you have helped us to achieve this year.
We put together a little recap of the year in numbers and pictures to share with you here.
Enjoy, and thanks again for making Potter Park Zoo a part of your community.
