Did You Know?
The Screech Owl keeps in contact with its mate using a trilling song, known as the "bounce song."
The zoo will be closing at noon on Thursday, May 17th, until 6pm when we open our gates for the fourth edition of Wine & Stein. This is personally one of my favorite events at PPZ because it brings such a great crowd of people together that you may not normally associate with the zoo… or any zoo really. We see an amazingly diverse group, ranging in age from 21 to over 80, enjoying the grounds after hours.
I’m sure it doesn’t hurt that we have some delicious food and drink from both local and national vendors available for sampling during the evening, but it’s definitely more than just that.
Plus, if it’s good for Magnum P.I., it’s good for you. See you Thursday.
