Potter Park Zoo will host three after hour Zoo Brew events throughout the summer, the first on June 26, offering guests BBQ style food accompanied with adult beverages (available for purchase in addition to admission fee) while meandering through the zoo listening to live music, enjoying the animals and supporting the zoo.
“We are excited to introduce our first-ever Zoo Brew series,” said Sherrie Graham, Potter Park Zoo Executive Director. “We look forward to the opportunity to provide our guests and the Love Lansing community with the chance to come to the zoo after hours and enjoy food, adult beverages, live entertainment and the animals.”
The kick off to the series will be on Thursday, June 26 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. (last call at 8:30 p.m.). Guests will enjoy a night of alternative rock featuring musical guests The Tenants, food from Gators Grill and beverages from Dusty’s Cellar available for purchase. Those interested can purchase tickets here or by visiting the Potter Park Zoo “What’s Happening” page.
The second Zoo Brew event will be on Thursday, July 31 and feature local country music. The third and final summer series event will take place on Thursday, August 28 and feature local classic rock themed music. Tickets to these events are also now available for purchase on the zoo’s event page.
“Potter Park Zoo’s other after hours bash, Wine and Stein, has historically been a huge success so we wanted to keep the summer fun going with the Zoo Brew series,” said Jen Rostar, Potter Park Zoo Events Coordinator. “Events like these are so important to support the operation of the zoo, and it’s always our goal to provide a wide-range of fun and entertaining events for all local community members.”
Admission is $5 per person, and food and adult beverages will be available for purchase inside the zoo at all three Zoo Brew events.
