Paid Zookeeper Internship

There are no positions currently available.

Veterinary

Students in their third or fourth (clinical) years of school are encouraged to apply for a 3-6 week preceptorship.  There are no pre-veterinary externships available, students have to be in veterinary school or veterinary technology school to perform an externship in the veterinary department.

Zookeeper

Zoology, or related field, students in their third or fourth years of school are encouraged to apply for a semester long externship or independent study for credit.

Job Shadows

We do one-day job shadows with zookeeping staff for students 13 yrs and older as available, and scheduled in advance.  Call (517)483-4222 to arrange.

Job shadows are not available for the veterinary department.
